The view from a volunteer..

These following words were written by one of our volunteers. She wants to remain anonymous so I can’t say too much here, for fear of ‘outing’ her, but I can’t pass by the opportunity to say that it is a real privilege and honour to be regarded so vitally important in someone’s journey to well being, and however grateful she is to TLC, we are equally, if not more so, grateful to her for her commitment, hard work and positivity whenever she is in the cafe.

“Working at TLC has personally helped me improve my life in so many ways, and I have become part of a team. It has become like two worlds one family to me.

Over the weeks my life has changed and the cafe has opened we have all seemed to blossom together and create something so positive; helpful, friendly warming place, what also has the gift of gab… its like we have created a home in some way for all of us to come together and change the world. In a little world where in many ways with something very unique and special not just a junk food project, or community cafe but it’s a life changing opportunity for some of us.”
