Helping Hands

This post has been written by Eleanor, a lady I have never met, but is a very treasured member of the emerging ToastLoveCoffee community. Thank you Eleanor for what you have done, and written…

Life for many can be unkind and difficult to change and it is easy to forget how very fortunate we are whilst contemplating our own concerns. Reading about this family moved me to try do something, however small, to help. Life must be about making a difference and giving and helping others in whatever way we can. All too often life gets in the way, there isn’t the time to think about it or do it and I am guilty of all of this. I thought about how lucky my little boy is to have so much in the way of support, joy and material things and how lucky we all are and I had to try to make things a little better for this family. I felt humbled, embarrassed and a bit sick that this family were in such a position, through no fault of their own. The help they have received is just fantastic, life changing for them, and how wonderful is that!

This is an inspirational story of how we can all make a difference by giving our time, support, some things we no longer need, and if possible small gifts which might make the world a much brighter place for those with little and in need. I imagine that the most important thing that this family has received over the past few weeks has been the knowledge that they are cared about, thought about and supported, and that the world can be a beautiful, giving place, where they can feel secure, happy and positive about the future.

Happy Easter to you all.
